This classic timepiece was first introduced by Louis Cartier in 1917 and draws inspiration from the tanks that traversed the WW1 battlefields, the vertical lines on the dial, also known as 'brancards', are intended to represent the treads, while the case is modelled on the terret. It's animated by an intricate Swiss-made calibre 1917 MC hand-wound movement and crafted from 18-karat gold with a single sapphire cabochon studding the crown.
