The Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Mint Leaf” was the last sneaker designed by Ronnie Fieg prior to opening KITH, and were a David Z exclusive release. Before opening the now-famous KITH boutique and accompanying streetwear line, Fieg served as a buyer and later, manager of creative makeups which lead him to collaborating with Asics. The limited-quantity collaborations caught the attention of sneakerheads and even landed on the cover of The Wall Street Journal. Done up in a Mint Green mesh and suede upper, the Gel Lyte 3 features tonal Gel Lyte 3 branding the lateral panel, a perforated Asics cross pattern on the mid-panel. Completing the look of the design a white rubber midsole with subtle Asics branding and a black traction pattern outsole. The Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Mint Leaf” was released in 2011.
