As the brand's founder, Eunhye Shin, once put it, Le 17 Septembre puts layers of subtle details into each garment, inspired by everything from "costumes to art, architecture, and nature". In the case of this shirt, the use of those details is rather literal, embroidering tonal designs of abstract forms into the cotton fabric for a textural finish.
