Tasting Notes The Nick & Nora Glass is named after the Martini-loving husband-and-wife detective team in the timeless thriller 'The Thin Man'. Nick and Nora Charles (played by William Powell and Myrna Loy) also have a cocktail named after them which would be wonderful served in the glass. Effortlessly chic this modern twist on a wonderfully old-fashioned design incorporates a bowl and lip with an inward curve which directs high-alcohol content cocktails to the mid-palate. This is important because it delivers it right into the sweet spot for retronasal olfaction (a fancy name for smelling through the back of the nose - a huge part of how we perceive flavour) and away from the sensitive tip of the tongue which can become overwhelmed easily. This makes it perfect for sipping a Martini Manhattan or Daiquiri from while surveying the room for any mysteries that may unfold. So lets raise a glass and say 'Cheers!' to better cocktails. Riedel's Drink Specific Glassware is part of their Barware Collection. This innovative and professional glass series was developed in collaboration with the cocktail and spirits specialist Zane Harris. Together they have fine-tuned and tweaked the classic shapes to maximise the enjoyment for enthusiasts. The attention to detail on the size shape volume and capacity for ice of these machine-made glasses is what makes them such a pleasure to mix into and drink out of. These glasses were intended for the world's finest cocktail bars but have now been made available to the public so that you can enjoy them at home. The Riedel family can trace their trade in luxury glassware back to Johann Cristoph born in 1673. Now in the hands of the 11th generation Maximilian Josef Riedel this multi-award-winning family-run business has become as entwined with the world of fine wine as the vines themselves. Combining science the experience of some of the world's finest palates and a pinch of magic they design their glorious glasses to enhance the bouquet textur
