From the red-carpet-ready world of Zuhair Murad, this gown's beaded embellishment was inspired by arabesque decoration. First seen in Baghdad in the 10th century, the ornamental style is defined by its distinctive fluid and floral shapes, often featuring perpetually repeating patterns that lent itself to use in wallpaper, stone reliefs and prints.
