Product Details THE CREATION Composed by perfumer Guy Robert in 1961, Calèche was Hermès' first fragrance for women. Its name echoes the carriages that are emblematic of the house: a light and elegant 19th century horse-drawn conveyance. OLFACTORY NOTES A floral fragrance with aldehyde aromas, Calèche eau de toilette is a very feminine blend of delicate aldehydes, billowing jasmine and light rose. THE OBJECT The bottle, inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages, has a black cap reminiscent of a riding hat. The back label is illustrated with a design by Philippe Dumas, indicating that it belongs to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection. THE PARFUMS-FONDATEURS COLLECTION The Parfums-Fondateurs collection draws inspiration from the house's heritage. Each creation encapsulates Hermès' imaginary world in a name, a fragrance and a colour. Over the years, Hermès has pioneered a bold style of perfumery, resulting from encounters with exceptional perfumers. Written in 1961 by Guy Robert, Calèche was Hermès' first fragrance for women. A highly feminine, woody, chypre floral, its name refers to the horse-drawn carriages that are emblematic of the house. Calèche is a novel that dazzles with the beauty of its raw materials, from the joyfulness of citrus fruit to the modernity of aldehyde notes; from the floral heart embellished with ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine to the woody, chypre sillage underscored by the nobility of the iris.
